Timothy A Badgley

Timothy Allen Badgley, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born February 25th 1945, Tim was one of nine children and grew up learning the values of hard work, family, faith, and perseverance. Those values became the foundation of a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength.

On October 13, 1976, Tim married the love of his life, Phyllis Badgley. Together they built a marriage that spanned nearly fifty years and created a home filled with love, laughter, faith, and an unwavering devotion to family. Their partnership was a testament to commitment, resilience, and enduring love.

Tim was the proud father of four sons: Ken, Charles, Andy, and Sam.  He took great pride in watching his boys grow into men and treasured the time he spent with his family. His guidance, wisdom, steady example, and unconditional love will continue to live on through them and the generations that follow.

A 1963 graduate of Grove City High School, Tim went on to serve his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He carried the discipline, integrity, and sense of duty he learned in military service throughout the rest of his life.

Tim spent his career as an electrician, retiring after years of dedicated work with General Motors and Budweiser. He was known for his strong work ethic, practical knowledge, and remarkable ability to fix almost anything. Whether repairing a broken appliance, installing a door, or tackling a home project, Tim was always willing to lend a hand. He found joy in helping others and took pride in teaching family and friends how to do things for themselves.

Faith was an important part of Tim’s life. He was an active member of Trinity Global Methodist Church of Charlotte Harbor, where he enjoyed serving others through the church food pantry and supporting his church community. His faith guided his actions and inspired a life of service, kindness, and generosity.

Those who knew Tim will remember his constant tinkering, his willingness to help, and his love of simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, watching Jeopardy, reading, and spending time with family. He was rarely idle, always finding a project to complete or someone to assist. Through countless acts of service, prayer, and generosity, he left a lasting impact on the lives of those around him.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Norris Badgley; his mother, Martha Crum Badgley; his brother, Daniel Badgley; and his sister, Lyssa Bookman Badgley.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis Badgley; his sons, Ken (Heather), Charles, Andrew (Sonya), and Sam (Holly); his brothers and sisters, Michael Badgley (Elaine), Patrick Badgley (Sevy), Thomas Badgley (Betsy), James Badgley (Denise), Della Badgley Zimmerman (Harvey), and Peggy Badgley Kaiser (Robert); and his cherished grandchildren, Gabrielle, Delaney, Olivia, Cameron, Eva, Charlize, Rhys, Oliver and Rowan.

Tim was deeply loved by his family, respected by his friends, and admired by all who knew him. His legacy of faith, hard work, service, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
