Ruth Doris Doran

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Doris Doran in Sarasota, Florida on June 21, 2025. Ruth was born in Berlin, Germany on June 19, 1933, to Peter and Jenny Bronnenmayer.

Ruth "Doris" married Jerome Greene an American GI in Germany and relocated to the United States living in Brooklyn, New York where they had a son, Richard Greene.

Ruth  "Doris" originally followed in her family’s footsteps and worked as a hairdresser. She later remarried and became a realtor in New Jersey and in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania, where she eventually settled due to her love of the mountains and being outdoors.

She had a love for animals and bred Belgian sheepdogs. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed thrifting and spending time with close friends and family. Ruth "Doris" was loved by all who met her. She had the warmest heart and could bring a smile to anyone’s face. She truly loved living life in all of its’ dimensions. Her life’s truest wealth were her dearest friends and family. She will be sadly missed, but forever in all our hearts and always in our stories.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Doran. She is survived by her loving son Richard Greene and his wife Meredith, Granddaughter Sydney, her beloved younger brother Peter Bronnenmayer, his wife Gabrielle and brother-in-law Waldemar, sister-in-law Robyn Rizzollo, her husband Robert, niece Riley and nephew Robbie.
