Lloyd M Kalisak, 84 of Sarasota, formerly of Ottawa and Aurora Illinois, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was under the tender care of Hospice, with his family by his side. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Melanie of Sarasota; his son Darin of Cottage Grove, WI; his son Chad of Greenwood Village, CO; his grandson Aden of Gainesville, FL; and his loving sister Verna Irwin of Sarasota, formerly of Ottawa, IL. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Lynn Stone, his brother Dale Kalisak, and his nieces and nephew. He leaves behind his good friend and fellow Triumph enthusiast, Reko Salt.
Lloyd retired from Sears and started his own repair business in Sarasota. His skills were wide-ranging & varied, and he took great satisfaction in helping his friends and neighbors improve their homes. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time boating, hunting, and fishing at his favorite spots. His collection of old Triumph motorcycles was a source of great joy, and he spent countless hours working on them.
Lloyd loved and had great pride in his sons and grandson and he adored his many feline companions.
A service will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery on August 8, 2025 at 2:00pm.
