John Joseph Hill

John J. Hill of Ellenton passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A proud Vietnam Veteran, John carried a deep sense of strength, loyalty, and dedication throughout his life. He was a man who valued family above all else and took immense pride in those he loved.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Gage. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Fleming Hill; his daughter, Jessica Hill-Marstin and her husband, Rob; his son, Aaron Gage and his wife, Sabine; his cherished grandchildren, Gracie, Liv, Megan, Ted, and Edvard; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Andrew and Hayden.

Those who knew John will remember his devotion to his family, his quiet strength, and the love he gave so freely to the people closest to him. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy came from seeing his family together and thriving. His presence brought comfort, guidance, and unwavering support, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though he may no longer walk beside his loved ones, the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will remain in their hearts forever. His family finds peace in knowing he leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and honor that will continue through generations to come.

A private military service will be held by family with a Celebration of Life for family and friends to follow in November.
