Frank Anthony Smith, Sr. passed away suddenly on April 4, 2026 at SMH Sarasota at 72 years old. Five of his children were present before and after.
Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 26, 1953 to Charles M and M. Marie Smith and grew up in Lindenwold, NJ. He was one of seven children. He served in the Marines, Platoon 3036, Third Recruit Battalion, from December 1970 to December 1976. Frank had many jobs over his lifetime, from his time with UPS, to owning a mechanic shop and gas station, to driving oil tankers, to being a handyman; he liked to travel and keep busy. He was also an avid gardener and fisherman, and owned many chickens for a few years. He loved building things, crabbing, trucks, boats, and watching wrestling. Frank converted to Greek Orthodoxy in 1980, prior to his marriage to Helen [née Saddic].
Frank was predeceased by his parents; his second ex-wife, Debbie [née Swan] 2021; his third wife, Heidi [née Paone] 2021; and his brother, Tommy 2021. He is survived by his first ex-wife, Helen, and their four children, Nick (April), Nadia (Dominic), Adrianna (Stephen), and Frank Jr (Tori); children with Debbie, Robert (Kylie) and Sarah; and step-children Cindy (Nick) and Marty (Serena); as well as 15 grandchildren, Clara, Zoey, Dominic Jr, Brayden, Judson, Sean, Belle, Lincoln, Paisley, Bentley, Grayson, Ellie Mae, Nicholas Jr, Markus, and Karlee, and his dog Smitty; his sister, Charlotte aka Cookie; and his brothers, Joe and Charlie.
