Francis (Frank) William Horan Sr., age 85, passed away on June 7, 2024.
Frank was born on December 3, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts to parents John and Valeria Horan. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Frank's first wife, Anita Louise Horan, passed away in April of 2009, and he later married Marylou (Schaffer) Horan. Frank and Anita had five children: Debbie Youngblood and her husband, Wilson, of Littleton, North Carolina; Frank Horan Jr and his late wife, Paula, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; Mark Horan and his wife, Anne, of Winthrop, New York; John Michael Horan and his wife, Gina, of Macon, Georgia; and Kelly Romagnola and her husband, Jimmy, of Woodstock, Georgia. He had two stepsons, William Schaffer and Keith Schaffer, as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Frank entered the US Army in 1956 and was a Green Beret and veteran in the Vietnam war. He was a former Deacon with the Catholic churches in Brasher Falls, New York, and Sarasota, Florida. He was a licensed Real Estate Broker, attended numerous colleges, and obtained three degrees.
