Edna Louise Luther

Edna Louise Luther, born December 6, 1929, in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully in Sarasota, Florida on August 30, 2024, at the age of 94.

She was a proud "Newfie" who met and married the love of her life, Arthur Luther. Together, they raised their family in Massachusetts before settling in Lecanto, Florida. Edna worked as a dental assistant and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.

Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, son Peter, grandson Eric, and siblings, She is survived by her son, John; granddaughters, Jennifer and Laura; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

Edna loved the color yellow, sewing, knitting, playing card games, and feeding wildlife. She had a special gift for brightening every room she entered, living her life with kindness and love.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:00 AM on October 24th at Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church, 2540 W Norvell Bryant Hwy, Lecanto, FL 34461. Inurnment will take place at
Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date.

Edna’s loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
