Donna Freckleton 1935-2024
ELLSWORTH-Donna Freckleton, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 16, 2024, at the age of 89, in Sarasota, Florida, where she made her home for the past seven months.
Donna was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Harriet McMichael Seres. Donna was married to James Freckleton for 64 years until he died in 2019.
A graduate of The Rayen School, Donna was employed by Republic Steel as an accounting clerk. Donna enjoyed being a member of the Lake Milton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Ellsworth VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Ellsworth Presbyterian Church.
Her greatest joys in life were her children, Sandra Freckleton of Youngstown and Kathy (Pascual) Zamudio of Sarasota, Florida; and Mathew Schriner, her grandson of Youngstown. She is also survived by step grandchildren, Pascual III (Shannon), Caroline, Pascual IV, Sebastian and Leo Zamudio, and Deanna Zamudio and Rob Ortenzi.
She is survived by brother, Jack (Pat) Seres; brother-in-law, Barry Vennewitz; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Geraldine; by her sister Babe, and her best friend and sister for life, Betty Ewanish. She will be greatly missed by her beloved pets, JJ and Bootsie, who were her faithful companions.
Donna will be laid to rest with her husband in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a private service.
