Barbara A. Bernard, born in Williamsville, New York to parents Elizabeth S. Flynn and Robert J. Luby on December 9, 1936, passed away on March 14, 2025. She is finally reunited with the love of her life, Patrick A. Bernard, who passed on December 21, 2017. She leaves her only son, Robert P. Briandi, granddaughter Kerri E. Briandi, grandson Gregory W. Briandi, and great-grandson Dominic Giolando.
Barbara was an assistant treasurer at Empire of America Bank for 25 years before taking an early retirement and moving to Sarasota, Florida. She had a caregiver business for six years.
She met the love of her life in 1997, and married him in 2000. The two of them moved to Georgia and South Carolina for a short time, where they bought a mountain chalet. They loved living up there in the clouds. They returned to Florida in 2004.
She loved her family very much, and was a good friend to many.
Remember the good times.
Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Monday, March 24 at 3:00pm.
